They are listed on this page for anyone to view without ever becoming a client, customer, member, winner, signing up for our newsletter, etc., -- so people know exactly where they are sending/shipping their products and to whom for our review/evaluation process. Having our instructions and criteria posted in plain view assures where products are being mailed/shipped which clearly omits a need of any kind for a certificate or certification. Plus, we encourage our potential winners to mail their product(s) through a company that will provide a tracking number should there ever be a question pertaining to a confirmation or validation of the shipping/mailing process. Although we can't imagine why, but if we ever have a need to ship/mail anything to anyone in the future, nothing would ever be shipped internationally.

If I am a previous winner, am I automatically considered for the new year or do I need to submit another application and send products?
If you have previously won an award and are applying for a new year, as long as it has not been 90 days since we last reviewed your product, all we need is a new submission form and payment. This is based on a "no change" status (if your product has changed in 90 days, we must review it again). Since we may have new Family Testers and team members, in some cases, we may ask to review the product again anyway and/or to at least send one copy to the new team member(s). Should this happen, we will let you know in an email.

What are the chances of my product REALLY winning the award?
If your product is safe, doesn't break or tear easily while being handled daily by children and/or parents -- and does not contain any adult language or "implied" sexual content, or promote violence, then it's pretty safe to say you will qualify for our award. If you feel like your product is your best work and others seem to really enjoy it - then doesn't it belong in the Winner's Spotlight?
Who judges the Life Buzz Award?
We use experts from all around the country: parents, teachers, librarians, pediatricians, psychologists, media critics, child care facilities and directors and other professionals who are involved with children on a daily basis. They are considered our Family Testers. All reviewers must be a parent. The Family Testers are real families who test the products. We listen to the kids and their parents for kid-tested and kid-approved evaluations.
Can you tell me what the evaluators and judges said about my product?
These suggestions are not a guarantee that your product will zoom into success should you decide to implement them. Our goal is to hope that the suggested evaluation will possibly increase your products success by moving it forward thus placing it above the stiff competition of similar competitors in your field and inspire positive results. The evaluation package is available to winners and non-winners.
If my product wins your award, do you offer press release writing?
Yes. We can write a press release for your product. Although we will also help to send it to the media personnel listed below at no additional charge, we urge you to follow up with any communication received by potential media opportunities generated from the news release.

Can I resubmit my product if I don't win an award?
Yes, you can resubmit your product after a six month waiting period if you have made improvements.
The outcome of the submission, will be sent via email to the award notification email listed on the entry form.
How often are the Best of the Year Awards announced?
We will notify these winners within the same time frame as all winners. A press release will be sent out to the media every three months. This gives the winners ample time to prepare their own marketing plan, contact magazines and newsletters, radio and TV shows, order seals for their products and place the free graphic award on their site. The annual Holiday Gift Guide will announce all of the winners in one setting more towards the end of the current year. By following these guidelines, the earlier you submit and pay for your application and review process, the earlier you are notified.
How do I apply for the Top 50, 20 and 10?
THIS IS A NEW SERVICE WE ARE IMPLEMENTING FOR ALL OF OUR WINNERS. Top 50, 20, and 10 products. These will be pulled from each "Review For" section on the submission form and voted on by our staff. Winners from all categories will automatically be entered at no additional fee. Once you have been selected as a winner, if you would like to send us a reminder note to enter your product, please do so. These winners will be announced to the public as time allows and will take place in October and once again in our Holiday Gift Guide in November and December. However, winners will receive notification as early as possible before the press release hits the public and media outlets so you can plan for your own media marketing.
How will I know if you received my package?
It is your responsibility to track your package. We will not notify you. The major shipping companies provide delivery confirmation at an additional fee.
What types of media can I enter for Award consideration?
NOTE: Your submission fee covers only one category and your product or website will be listed in one category per $300.00. If you decide to check various categories, and not pay for those additional ones, our review team will use their professional discretion of which category your product fits best.

If I do not win an award, can I get a refund of my submission fee?
We ask for up to 30 days to review a product. However, we will put a rush on the evaluation process for the holidays. NOTE: Payment much be received and approved, (and cleared if paying by check), for each product submission/application before we begin the review process.
You have three options. Electronically with all major credit cards through our safe and secure online submission: MasterCard and Visa, Pay Pal MasterCard or Visa and a personal or business check. All checks must be payable in US funds to: Parent to Parent and will go through a clearing process consisting of 10 business days. Returned checks will be subject to a $40 fee. Submission fees are nonrefundable. All submission fees for product reviewing is the same price: $300.00. Please remember, only one product can be submitted at a time, and only one product is covered under the $300.00 review fee. If you have more than one product to be reviewed, please apply separately for it. NOTE: Payment much be received and approved, (and cleared if paying by check), for each product submission/application before we begin the review process.IF YOU SEND A CHECK in a regular or business envelope, please attach a Delivery Confirmation Receipt. This is an additional and easy step that actually costs very little. It not only improves delivery but also provides an easy tracking system for *you* via the postal service.
How will the public and the media know about my product?
After winning the award - and after your product has been posted in our Winner's Spotlight section - you can use information contained in the winning email in your own press release to notify the media. You may also post the free award graphic on your site that we send in an email to all winners . The media will usually go to our site and/or yours to verify that you have won the award.

PLEASE NOTE: GOLD Seals can be ordered if your product has won in two or more categories, which qualifies it for the GOLD SEAL STATUS. EXCEPTION: If your product has garnished a TOP 10 GOLD SEAL STATUS in any one (1) category, you are eligible to place an order for the seal(s). If your product does not meet at least one of the important criteria set in place, we apologize in advance for any inconvenience. However, this is a highly select group. Preserving the current rule regarding the Gold Seal Status keeps it special, unique and is important to everyone.

Can I submit a "series" for the same price as one product?
We will accept a "series" as one submission for one price as long as there are not more than four products. For each one over four, it is an additional fee. Reviewing the products, one or nine, is time consuming and entails hard work in our Family Testing and Evaluation process, so please keep this in mind.
Does Jodie Lynn offer personal phone consultations? If so, how does this work?
Yes. You can schedule a personal phone consultation with Jodie Lynn. Just "apply" for it by selecting it from the category list on the submission form, just like you were applying for the Life Buzz Award. It is the same price, $300.00 for one hour with five email follow-ups. Your choice of topics can include challenges with: design of product, design of website, marketing targets and advertising options.
Since Jodie Lynn is also an internationally syndicated parenting/family columnist, you can also request a personal phone consultation about challenges with parenting/family, or syndication opportunities/questions. NOTE: We reserve the right to terminate any discussions should they deem out of sorts, i.e. adult content, gossip, slander, copyright infringements or anything detrimental to any company or another human.
All phone consultations will be scheduled as quickly as possible. However, please allow between two to three weeks.

Since you've changed your name, will the same group of experts review and evaluate products?
For those who have a family friendly product, these experts will continue to review and evaluate. For products that are geared for special groups, not necessarily for a family, experts have been established and are in place to proceed with the evaluation process. These are top expert gurus from various industries such as music, art, retail, radio, TV, etc., and have either served, or are currently serving, on a board of like-minded or similar to unique product submitted for our award.
